Camera Shutter Count Nikon. Most digital cameras keep track of the number of times the shutter has been opened and closed. This is called the shutter count. On a Nikon camera, you can usually find the shutter count by going into the menu and looking for a section called “Shooting Info.”
The simplest way would be to upload an image to CameraShutterCount which will do it for you. On Mac, you can open the image in Preview, then from Tools > Show Inspector, then click the i & there should be a tab with your Camera type. Shutter Count is listed in there.
Question is about the shutter count. Unit looks brand new, not a scratch or mark on it. The shutter count though shows 3900 which is somewhat higher than most of the posts here. Still seems low though and again the unit looks brand new. I believe the D7000 has a life expectancy of around 100k - 200k (150k is what I usually see) actuations.
